Welcome to ZAP Fitness Adult Running Vacations – 2018 Dates Announced, Registration Opens Sept. 12th at Noon!

Our goal with our ZAP Fitness Running Vacations is to provide our campers with an intimate, informative, relaxing, as well as challenging running experience for all ages and abilities.  We offer both four day and week long running camps between June and August.  Each camp will cover the same range of topics with our full week camps offering a bit more flexibility and free time; perfect for relaxing and touring the surrounding areas.

It was so well organized and the balance of running and non-running activities was perfect. The trails were awesome and I got the do my first ever mountain hike/climb. The accomodations were clean, comfortable and convenient. I’ve told everyone that it was oddly strenuous, yet relaxing. I will definitely consider coming to camp again.”

2018 Running Vacations

 July 16-21 Blue Ridge Running Vacation

Cost: $1,050.00

Retreat to the Blue Ridge Mountains to relax and enjoy your running being the focus of your days for this week. This camp is perfect for beginners and experienced runners alike with daily runs catered to all levels as well as plenty of time to relax in the mountains while escaping the summer heat. We will touch on all aspects of training, including nutrition, strength training, running form, the mental side, as well as give you an individualized video analysis. Our goal with this week, as with all of our running vacations, is to create an informative and truly unique running experience.

September 13-16 Half Marathon & Marathon Weekend

Looking to make the most of your training or simply learn more about how to best approach the half or full? This weekend in September is another opportunity to kick off or put the final touches on your fall half marathon or full marathon training. In addition, for first timers, this weekend is an excellent introduction to these unique distances. In this 4 day running vacation we will answer all your questions from nutrition to mileage as well as share some tips on how to mentally and physically prepare yourself in the final weeks before the big day.

July 8-13 Bear Week

This week’s of running vacation will give you plenty of opportunities for some new, fun and challenging running experiences. In addition to our normal camp week, Thursday night you will have the opportunity to run The Bear 5 Mile Road Race, which starts in Linville, NC and ascends over 1500 feet to the top of Grandfather Mountain. This is a race you will never forget. (Race entry is an additional $35). In addition to the race, this full week camp provides all the running education we have to offer as well as time to relax and enjoy your time in the mountains.

Aug 5-10 Marathon Week

Cost: $1,050.00

Planning on a fall marathon? Whether it is your 1st or your 10th this is the perfect  camp for you. Be it New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Twin Cities, Hartford, Steamtown, or the Berlin Marathon this running vacation is designed to help you set up your fall training and put you on the right track for a great marathon experience. In our full marathon week we will answer all your marathon related questions from nutrition to mileage so you can train your best for the next 8-12 weeks. In addition to our daily runs and thorough training seminars you’ll have plenty of time to relax, explore the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock and get to know both our staff and fellow attendees.
