Tyler Pennel finished up his first season as a ZAP-Reebok athlete with an excellent run at the Peachtree Road Race, which served as the 2013 US 10k Road Championships. Pennel ran to a 7th place finish, and 13th overall, at the Reebok sponsored event. For Pennel it was his 3rd top 10 finish at a US Championship this season. After finishing 9th at the US 15k Championships and 10th at the US Track Championships, Pennel saved his best for last running to a 29:05 finishing time on a wet, breezy July 4th in Atlanta.
Joining Tyler in Atlanta was marathon specialist Esther Erb. Just two weeks removed from a half marathon PR, Erb put together another fine race, taking 14th place honors at the Championship event and posting a time of 34:25. Cole Atkins also concluded his season with a 19th place finish in, a time nearly 30 seconds faster than one year ago, 29:50.
