Greg McMillan

Through his work with professional athletes and his company, McMillan Running, Greg has become one of the most renowned coaches in the United States. Greg has coached 12 US national champions as well as numerous athletes to appearances at the World Championships, the US Olympic Trials, and even the Olympic Games. As an athlete he owns personal bests of 1:10 in the half marathon, 2:31 in the marathon, and was the 2009 USATF Masters’ Trail Marathon National Champion.

He is however, most well known for creating the McMillan Running Calculator and his coaching company McMillan Running. Through McMillan Running Greg has coached more than 10,000 athletes to Boston Marathon times. He is the author of Surviving the Marathon Freak-Out, YOU (Only Faster): Training plans to help you train smarter and run faster, and Zap! You’re a Runner! The beginning runner’s guide to fun and fitness. Greg is a senior writer for Running Times Magazine, a contributor to both Competitor Magazine and Active.com as well as the managing editor of Peak Running Performance. He can be found speaking around the country at a variety of races, conferences, and running events.
