ZAP-Reebok Adds N.C. State All American Thompson to Resident Team

Joanna NC StateThe Reebok sponsored ZAP Fitness team added N.C. State All-American Joanna Thompson to its’ resident team on Monday 8/17 in the lead up to the 2016 Olympic Trials. Thompson, a native of Knoxville, TN, arrives in Blowing Rock with personal bests of 16:03 for 5,000m and 33:07 for 10,000m. In her 4 years competing for the Wolfpack Thompson was a force in both XC as well as track, and will join newly added resident female athlete Sinead Haughey in the lead up to both the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials in Los Angeles as well as the Track & Field Trials in Eugene, OR.

 

“Joanna is one of the best emerging talents coming out of the NCAA,” said ZAP / Reebok Head Coach Pete Rea. “She is a hell of a competitor and has a strong desire to advance to the next level in every discipline, track, cross country and the roads. She is a welcome addition to our training group.”
