ZAP Fitness Adult Running Camps

Welcome to ZAP Fitness Adult Running Camps – 2016 Dates Announced!

Our goal with our ZAP Fitness Running Camps is to provide our campers with an intimate, informative, relaxing, as well as challenging running experience for all ages and abilities.  We offer both four day and week long running camps between June and August.  Each camp will cover the same range of topics with our full week camps offering a bit more flexibility and free time; perfect for relaxing and touring the surrounding areas.

Thank you Zika and to Pete and Ryan and the athletes as well. I’ve done a couple of running camps and yours was by far the best. It was so well organized and the balance of running and non-running activities was perfect. The trails were awesome and I got the do my first ever mountain hike/climb. The accomodations were clean, comfortable and convenient. I’ve told everyone that it was oddly strenuous, yet relaxing. I will definitely consider coming to camp again.”

June 23-26 Summer Kick-Off Mini Camp

This weekend is a great way to kick off your summer training program and get motivated for the upcoming racing season. It is also an opportunity to simply relax and enjoy letting running be the focus of your day for this long weekend. This camp is perfect for beginners and experienced runners alike as we will provide challenging runs for all ability levels. As with all of our camps our goal is to create an informative and relaxing and running experience. Come join us for our Summer Kick-Off camp and kick start your training for the summer!

If you didn’t get the chance to make it to our Summer Kick-Off camp in June this camp will follow the same schedule and offer another option to relax and enjoy letting running be the focus of your day for this long weekend. September 8-11 Marathon Weekend

Looking to make the most of your marathon training or simply learn more about how to best approach the event? This weekend in September is another opportunity to kick off or put the final touches on your fall marathon training. In addition, for first timers, this weekend is an excellent introduction to this unique distance. In this 4 day camp we will answer all your questions from nutrition to mileage as well as share some tips on how to mentally and physically prepare yourself in the final weeks before the big day.

July 10-15 Adult Running Vacation

This full week of camp is a true runner’s vacation;  well suited to runners of all ages and abilities we will cover topics from 5k training to marathon training to proper running mechanics and more! You will also have some time to check out the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock, relax in our cool mountain stream after your morning run, or read a book in the hammock. In addition to the daily runs, a yoga session, and a pool running workout our primary goal is to create an informative and relaxing running experience.

Aug 7-12 Marathon Week

Planning on a fall marathon? Whether it is your 1st or your 10th this is the perfect  camp for you. Be it New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Twin Cities, Hartford, Steamtown or the Berlin Marathon, this camp is designed to help you set up your fall training and put you on the right track for a great marathon experience. In this full week camp we will answer all your marathon related questions from nutrition to mileage so you can train your best for your next full or half marathon.
